Marques L. Meráz

Marques L. Meráz has joined the Grace University Board of Directors. He earned his B.A in Political Science from American Military University and Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

His extensive experience in Human Resources began in the U.S. Navy where he spent nine years. As Personnel Manager he led human resources teams on initiatives and projects, including training, investigations, and legal or internally reported employee relations charges. He has knowledge and experience in legal compliance, performance management, learning and development, as well as employee relations. Currently, he is Post J.D. Attorney-Trainee at Kjar, McKenna & Stockalper, LLP, in El Segundo, California.

Passionate about his faith, family, and career Marques finds ways to serve God in his personal and professional life. He serves as Sunday School Teacher at Robbins Memorial Church of God in Christ; Drum Line Instructor to over 60 students, and mentor to college and post high school students.

He speaks fluent Spanish. He is a member of San Diego Chapter of NAACP, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Marques is married, with two children “and one on the way, praise God!!”
